Look at the big bug I found this morning! He is very cool looking! His wings were clear with black lines. He was 2 inches long. He was massive.
Clay owl
Last week I played around with some clay my Mimi had. I had fun making my owl.

Black
I am the moon.
I own the black.
I hear the echo of the bats.
I glisten in the night.
I play peek-a-boo with you.
“Now you see me! Now you don’t!”
The wolf says, “Helllooooo!”
I colored the sky black with a black sharpie.
In the silence of the night, the only noise I hear is the crickets chirping.
I see the light of thousands of buildings and the cars.
I am the moon.
What Would You Do in 1848?
I would have been a farmer so I could be around animals. I would have stayed back east on the old farming land instead of going west. What would you have done?
One day I looked up because I thought someone or something and a chicken was behind me shaking. Then it struck me. I had not fed them yet! So I fed them, but out of the blue, a wild boar jumped out and fell on me. What would you have done
Then the boar left. Something wasn’t right. Boars are usually not scared that way. I watch to see if any were in the woods.
When I was about nine, I grew up on a farm, and this is the same farm my great grandfather gave to me. I learned a lot on May 4th in 1848. I learned to d-gut a turkey, but I didn’t believe in killing animals, so I became a vegetarian. Would you have killed for meat?
So all the animals on my farm were either for selling or just for eggs, herding, or for a friend. That is who I would be in 1848.
